Dr. Mark Miravalle, S.T.D., husband, permanent deacon, and father of eight, earned his Sacred Theological Doctorate at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Dr. Miravalle has been teaching at the Franciscan University of Steubenville since 1986. For a person devoted and follows Mary, or is not too familiar with the mother of God, this book is excellent. It explains every angle from the Church's point of view. Why she is named mother of God. Why she is mother of us all. How and why she is so involved in our lives, whether we understand or not. This book will help you understand. It is also a book overflowing with love. Love from God the Father, to the Son, to the Spirit, to Mary. The only drawback is some of the terms. Some are explained. Some are not. A glossary, short and simple could be beneficial to the beginner learning about Mary.

My children attend a traditional Catholic school with Latin Mass and a motto of To Jesus Through Mary. I'm thankful for this book opening my eyes and heart to understanding their mission at the school and church. As a cradle Catholic from a liberal church I was lacking in this knowledge.

I love the format of this book. I am a cradle catholic & have a strong devotion to Mary. Please if you are not catholic don't let that hinder you from reading this book! What I love about it is the way it is written for non-catholics & catholics alike to really understand Mary as our heavenly mother, not just the woman that gave birth to Jesus. This book explains (with scripture) why every person to embrace Mary as our heavenly mother. At the end of the book it also discusses briefly Mary's apparitions & the message she gives with each one.

As a Protestant believer, this book really helped me understand the Catholic dogmas of Mary. It was very detailed but presented information in such a way that I understood it, not having much previous knowledge on the subject

I love the Dino series, and never hesitated to pick up the latest by Andre Klein. One of the great features of them, besides their contemporary adult focus, is their humor. Most language readers are dull as dishwater, and too many of them are for children, or set in fairy tale timeless settings. These use colloquialisms and modern settings, which is rare, but the humor is such a welcome change.That being said, I didn't find this installment of Dino's adventures quite as funny.Always, looking for a cheap billet, Dino arrives in Hamburg and becomes an apartment manager, tasked with dealing with tenants and fixing small things. But for the hapless Dino, the task ends up more complex than he first considered. I enjoyed seeing a brief - very brief - glimpse of Hamburg through Dino's eyes. I understand now that one theme of the Dino series is to give the reader a snapshot of various German cities, hence his moving around. Still, it also means that Dino never seems to settle down and succeed at anything. That can be a little repetitive as Dino makes his way through Deutschland leaving a bevy of frustrated employers in his wake. Still any Dino is still good Dino, and I hope it won't be as long till the next installment.

Mr Klein has done it again. These connected stories are interesting and fun to read. Much of the vocabulary can be understood by context, but even words that trip one up can be looked up quickly. Using the same words more than once helps with retention. I like the positioning of the vocabulary following the story, then the questions afterward. This lets one review the vocab first. Use of boldface type with endings in normal weight type points up the base word for adjectives and adverbs, as well as pointing out the new words in general. You will not be bogged down reading any of Mr Klein's books.

All of the volumes in Andre Klein's "Learn German With Stories" series are interesting and are an excellent way to build vocabulary skills panlessly. The stories are written to be easily readable and interesting. The integration with electronic dictionaries on the Kindle is seamless and makes it very easy to quickly learn new words. The vocabulary lists at the end of each chapter provide translations of idiomatic phrases.

Klein's book is a wonderful way to spruce up your German. The stories are interesting and funny with each chapter just the right length to allow us to finish still feeling motivated. In his books we get a lively peek at German culture today. I would enjoy reading them even if I was completely fluent in German.

The Dino stories are a fantastic way of adding to your command of German and to your knowledge of German culture. The stories are interesting, sometimes touching and really humorous; the vocabulary, key phrase translations and the quizzes at then end of each story are super well done. Start with Dino in Berlin; each new set of stories ramps up the vocabulary and difficulty. Excellent.

Excellent beginner tutorials for German. The whole series is great. Two are available as audiobooks so you can work on your pronunciation, but these books are geared toward vocabulary and a little grammar.

This series is fantastic if you are learning German.

What lovely, charming books these are. Not too easy, not too hard, they provide a distinct thrill when you’re able to read a paragraph at a time without looking in the dictionary for help. Just perfect for the beginner German student, or any lover of languages.
