She starts by saying 'just replace God with xxxx...' but then goes onto talk about God on every single page (well, maybe not every page, there's surely 1 or 2 that doesn't have it, but many that it many times!)...God gave me the message, God told me to do this, the Bible says....on and on. This undermines any message that might be there.More importantly, the message is, more or less, straight from truly classic books like Think and Grow Rich written 100 years ago. At least with other business books, some credit is give, but not this one. Nothing.Good for her for her success, but she hardly had a real challenge. "Taking a year and a half off to lick my wounds..." is hardly something most can do if their business falters.It's probably 3 stars, but with all the other 5 stars I couldn't, in good conscience, give it a higher mark.
I felt stuck. I knew I had more to offer but couldn't figure out how to start. I have read dozens of personal development books and wondered what this author would have to say that I hadn't already heard. Well, Natasha Hazlett covers it all in an authentic, vulnerable and hilarious voice where you feel like she's sitting in the chair right across from you. I loved Jen Sincero's You Are a Baddass, Miracle Mindset by JJ Virgin, The Five Second Rule by Mel Robbins, Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis and ALL of Brene Brown's books. Without hesitation, I would put Natasha's Unstoppable Influence right up there with all of them. The BIG DIFFERENCE with this book is that I didn't just read it and put it on the shelf. She gave me the tools to put her advice into practice, so now I am officially unstuck and ready to be me, be fearless and transform lives. If you're ready to figure out why you were put here on this Earth, this book is for you!
Love This Book!! Walks you through the process of letting go of things that are holding you back and helping you find your voice and purpose. I love the Jen Sincero book "You Are a Badass" and if you like that series will love you this book! Wonderful, easy read. It follows a natural order to work through at your own pace. It works if you follow through the process! So helpful for entrepreneurs trying to get out of a "stuck" spot or for anyone who is ready to make some changes in their life!
I still don’t know why or how I ended up crossing paths with this book but at this point I am just extremely grateful I did... for whatever reason! After enduring the loss of BOTH my parents AND my little sister (I’m only 39), I found myself really lost. Basically feeling stuck and frustrated with no idea which way to turn next. Then I read this book!!! I’m pretty sure Natasha actually reached into my soul and re-lit a “fireâ€, one that I wasn’t sure would ever burn again!!! Her words came across in a way that no other book has, made me mentally uncover “stuff†I never even knew bothered me and she gives great suggestions and/or instructions on how to move past it all. She also gives you access to lots of free tools all throughout the book!! Since I’ve read this book I feel alive again, I step out of my comfort zone regularly and most importantly I “STAY IN MY OWN D@MN LANE†(best advice EVER) This book is a necessity for your personal collection and definitely one that you will read more than once!!
I have read so many books and even paid thousands of dollars for training courses in hopes of finding my voice and the confidence to step up and share my light, but nothing had as big of an impact as this book. From the very beginning it spoke to me. Natasha describes my fears and the things that have held me back so completely it was like she wrote the book just for me! Unstoppable Influence is written with honesty and passion in such a transparent way that there is an instant connection with the author and the message. The “Take Action Now†sections get you moving and keep you moving in a direction that will open up any and all possibilities in your life. I have learned how to silence my ego (that part of me that has always been afraid of what other people think), and truly feel good about making changes and moving forward. I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels like they are stuck in a rut, destined for more, or just wanting to feel great about who they are! I sincerely hope there is a second book in the works!
This gem is a MUST READ, it’s a game changer. After reading this book, in a short time I must add, my vision of myself, my life and my purpose became so clear. The self-help books that draw me in are those in which the author is courageously transparent, allowing readers to glimpse inside their life. This is one such book and I read Unstoppable Influence in 3 days! It is through Natasha Hazlett's willingness to display some of her past woundedness, which invited me to examine my relationship with God and my higher purpose in this life. That being said, I would not consider Unstoppable Influence a "Christian" book, as she makes it clear she is not so much "religious" as she is "spiritual", and makes clear she is supportive of all spiritual views. Readers are encouraged to view life as a mirror and consider what is being reflected back to them in the context of choices through internal and external influences (thoughts, self-talk, people you hang around with, music, and all entertainment) that either feeds your soul or tears it down. To sum up, I would say the book and the downloadable workbook enabled a deeply spiritual process of "unbecoming", as every reader is asked to look deep within and consider: Does my life reflect what I truly want and how does what is reflected relate to the struggles in ALL areas of my life. If you want to live an authentic life, free of the shackles of perceived limitations (often reflected from other people), I highly recommend reading Unstoppable Influence: Be You. Be Fearless. Transform Lives.
