This map is the perfect size. The covers are laminated and resist scratches and tears. However the actual map pages are made of regular paper.There are 2 pop-up maps inside. One is an overview image of the major tourist areas of Istanbul (European and Asian side). The other map is a zoomed in image of mostly the European side and just a small part of the Asian side (Karakoy and Beyoglu).Also, there are laminated inner flaps showing the entire Grand Bazaar highlighting certain specialties like the Carpet and Fabric sections for example. There's another laminated flap that show all the Metro lines Route numbers and each stop name. It also shows the Funicular route and all of its stops.Each map list all the major streets with their assigned legend codes to easily locate.I'm taking this on my trip in 2 months and use as a backup to a larger tourist map, that I plan to use in my hotel room. This smaller one will be good to pull out when you need a quick confirmation that you're still on the right track to your next designation. Especially, when you need a quick peek at the Metro route to anticipate your upcoming stop.I would recommend this pocket map if your traveling to Istanbul the first time.
